What is the Weigel's Preferred Payment Club Card?
It is a preferred payment loyalty/rewards card that has been authorized by you to conduct an ACH debit transaction. The Preferred Payment Club Card is linked to your checking account and acts as a form of an electronic check with a secured User ID (PIN) for verification and protection. It is not a credit card program and your credit will not be checked. No additional purchases are necessary to save on fuel with the Preferred Payment Club Card.
Where do I get a Weigel's Preferred Payment Club Card?
Visit your nearest Weigel’s store and pick up a Preferred Payment Club Card. Complete the enrollment process through our secure and easy-to-use online portal. If you do not have access to the internet or have difficulty with our website, visit your local store to pick up a blue mail-in application.
How do I enroll the Preferred Payment Club Card?
You need to pick up a Preferred Payment Club card from your neighborhood Weigel’s before you enroll. Go onto www.weigels.com and follow the step-by-step instructions. If you do not have access to the Internet or have difficulty with our website, visit your local store to pick up a blue mail-in application. You will need your Driver’s License Number, Preferred Payment Club Card number, Bank Routing number, and Checking Account Number to complete the enrollment. Enrollment is completed securely by our 3rd party data processing company, ZipLine (NPCA).
How does Weigel's keep my personal information protected and secure?
The security of your personal information is very important to you and to us. We do not sell or disclose any information to a third party. The personal information you provide to us is required to verify and link your information to your Preferred Payment Club Card. Weigel’s does not have, nor ever will have, access to your checking account, personal PIN access code, or driver’s license information. Your enrollment data is kept safe in ZipLine’s secured database servers. All bank information and UseriDs/PINs are encrypted as soon as your enrollment is submitted.
Is the Weigel's Preferred Payment Card a credit card?
No, the Preferred Payment Card is a loyalty reward card that has been authorized by you to make ACH debit transactions, similar to receiving a direct deposit or when you make a direct payment from your bank to pay off a bill like your monthly mortgage or utility bill. Your credit will not be checked during the enrollment process.
Why should I use the Preferred Payment Club Card instead of a regular debit or credit card?
So you can get fuel savings! Debit cards and credit cards are forms of payment that carry large merchant fees from the banking and credit card community. These charges are part of the fees we pay in order to provide you with the ability to use debit and credit cards like Visa, MasterCard and American Express. By using the Preferred Payment Club Card, we don’t pay all the large bank and credit card fees, passing the savings directly back to you. The up to 10¢ fuel savings may vary by location and is subject to change anytime based on market conditions, change in credit card fees, and the commodity price of gas.
I already have a Weigel's Rewards Card. Do I need to get another one to be part of the Preferred Payment Club Card?
If you have a Basic Rewards card for loyalty rewards like gallon milk (rewards number starting with 1155), then you can enroll that same rewards number and become a Preferred Payment Club Card using our secure online application portal.
If you picked up a Preferred Payment Club Card from the store (rewards number starting with 1166), then you can enroll that rewards number following the included instructions or completing the blue mail-in application available at your local store
If you have a Pump Start card (rewards number starting with 1111), then you’ll need to pick up a new Preferred Payment Club Card at your local store and complete the secure online application or mail-in enrollment process.
If you have gallon milk credits on your current Basic Rewards or Pump Start card, you will not lose the credits when you convert to the Preferred Payment Club Card. Just contact Weigel’s Customer Service at (865) 938-2042, M-F 8AM-5PM EST to transfer your milk credits to your new Preferred Payment Club Card number.
How is the Preferred Payment Club Card used for payment on goods and services?
ZipLine (NPCA) enables you to link your checking account and your Personal Identification Number (UserID/PIN) with our Preferred Payment Club Card so you can pay for goods and services at our stores. Preferred Payment Club Cards can be used at the pump to get fuel savings and in-store to purchase goods (except Lottery, which is cash only).
Who is ZipLine?
Established in 2004, ZipLine is a private, Florida-based data processing company. We selected ZipLine as our 3rd party transaction processer because they are national leaders in processing transactions securely, accurately and efficiently. We have entrusted ZipLine to provide payment services in the same way we, and many other retailers, rely upon Visa and MasterCard. ZipLine also runs similar payment card transaction program for national retailers.
What happens to the information on my driver's license?
No information is taken from your driver license. We do not sell or disclose any information to a third party. Your driver license is used only to verify your identity as a participant in the program.
Why is an active email address required?
The Preferred Payment Club Card system relies heavily on your email address to communicate to you. Your email address becomes your login to manage your account. An email address is also required to make updates to your account information and to provide the ability for you to review your transactions. It is also necessary to retrieve and/or change your UserID/PIN, as well as to validate the enrollment information. Your email address is kept secure and private as we do not sell or disclose any information to a third party.
Why should I opt into Weigel's email list?
Every month, we send out an email alert to notify you about what’s going on at your local Weigel’s and to share what the monthly free reward item is. These reward items are very popular and are only available for a few days every month.
Why are you able to reward me with fuel savings using the Preferred Payment Club Card?
Two main things affect how we are able to reward you with fuel savings:
a. When you use the Preferred Payment Club Card, we are able to pass some of the savings back to you! A large part of our operation cost is from the merchant fees associated with a credit or debit card transaction. When you use a credit card at the station, we pay up to 3% of the amount you spend to the credit card company. When you use the Preferred Payment Club Card, we don’t have to pay the bank or credit company all those merchant fees. So we are able to pass on some of those savings to you!
b. The price of gas changes every day. It’s a commodity.
The up to 10¢ fuel savings may vary by location and is subject to change anytime based on market conditions, change in credit card fees and the commodity price of gas.
Can I get the up to 10¢ per gallon fuel savings if I pay with cash?
No, you must have a checking account or open a checking account to participate in the Preferred Payment Club Card program. We are able to pass the fuel savings on to you because of the savings we get from merchant fees associated with credit or debit card transactions. What is an ACH debit transaction?
The Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network is a highly reliable and efficient nationwide batch-oriented electronic funds transfer system governed by the NACHA Operating Rules that provide for the interbank clearing of electronic payments for participating depository financial institutions. The Federal Reserve and Electronic Payments Network act as ACH Operators, central clearing facilities through which financial institutions transmit or receive ACH entries.
An ACH debit is also known as an electronic check transaction. There is a slight delay in processing these types of transactions to bank accounts. Think of it as writing a check, but it happens electronically. These types of transactions typically take 1 – 3 business days to post to your bank account.
Examples of ACH payments include:
• Direct deposit of payroll, tax refunds, Social Security and other government benefits
• Direct payment of consumer bills such as mortgages, loans, utility bills and insurance premiums
• Business-to-business payments
• E-commerce payments and Federal, state, and local tax payments
How long does it take for the Preferred Payment Club Card to become active?
Once you have enrolled, the information that you provided will undergo a secure validation process. This process could take up to 3 business days. You will be notified of your account status and program next steps through subsequent email messages from ZipLine. Be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email safe list.
I saw a small deposit and withdrawal of a few cents in my bank account, what is this?
ZipLine validates your enrolled bank account information to ensure that they have the correct account number. ZipLine does this by submitting a deposit and withdrawal to your bank account. These “challenge transactions” are a test to confirm the validity of your enrolled account. The Preferred Payment Club Card is not activated until this bank verification process is completed. You will need to know both values to successfully complete the account validation process. If you do not see the small deposit and withdrawal within 5 business days of submitting the enrollment form, contact ZipLine at (877) 403-2222.
Is the USER ID/PIN for the Preferred Payment Club Card the same as my current Bank Account PIN number?
No. The User ID/PIN that you select to access your Preferred Payment Club Card can be any 4-digit number and does not have to be the same as the current PIN that you use with your ATM or Web ID to your bank account. Whatever 4-digit UserID/PIN you select, you’ll need to remember it in order to use your Preferred Payment Club Card.
Do I get charged by my bank for an ACH transaction?
Most banks do not charge for ACH transactions to a checking account. This is the same method that is currently used for paying mortgage payments, car payments and any authorized debits from your bank account. It is possible that some banks may charge a monthly fee for such services so please check with your bank for details. Charges will apply from your bank and from ZipLine if your transaction is returned as unpaid (NSF, Account Closed/Frozen, etc.). ZipLine’s return fee will be the maximum amount permissible by state law. This fee is separate from any fees that your bank may impose for such returns. We recommend that you have Overdraft Protection on the account used for your payment card transactions
How can I check my Preferred Payment Club Card transaction history?
Simply go to www.MyZipline.biz/weigels to access the secure login. Enter your email address, as well as the UserID/PIN number or your Password, to check your transaction history.
If I conduct a transaction and I do not have sufficient funds in my account, what will happen?
The transaction will be returned by your bank and your Club Card will be deactivated until you make good on your purchase. Returned transactions also result in a “Return Fee” permissible by state laws. ZipLine, or assigned agents, will try to electronically collect the face amount of the transaction and the associated Return Fee on two attempts. In the event that ZipLine or assigned agents cannot collect through normal electronic means, your account will be flagged and referred to a collection service and your membership may be cancelled. We recommend that you have Overdraft Protection on the account used for your payment card transactions to avoid additional return fees. By having Overdraft Protection with your bank, you will avoid fees for returned payment card transactions.
How much of a savings will I receive for using the Preferred Payment Club Card?
You can get up to 10¢ off each gallon of gas when you use the Preferred Payment Club Card. The up to 10¢ savings may vary by location and are subject to change anytime based on market conditions and the commodity price of gas.
Are there any fees to enroll or to use the Preferred Payment Club Card?
No. There is no enrollment fee and ZipLine do not charge fees for use of your card. However, your bank may charge fees relating to the ACH withdrawal of money from your checking account. Check with your bank for specific details. ZipLine does charge a Return Fee in the event that your bank returns a transaction unpaid. For this reason, we recommend that you have Overdraft Protection on the account used for your payment card transactions to avoid additional return fees.

I lost my Preferred Payment Club Card, what do I do?
If you lost your Preferred Payment Club Card, here is some solace. The Preferred Payment Club Card can only be accessed with your 4-digit UserID/PIN, so it’s much more secure than a lost credit card. Contact Weigel’s Customer Service at (865) 938-2042 as soon as possible to report the lost card. We will mail you a replacement card. How do I change my 4-digit UserID/PIN?
You may change your UserID/PIN by logging into the ZipLine website at www.MyZipline.biz/weigels. You will need to click on your card number then select the Update My PIN option. You can also call ZipLine Customer Service at (877) 403-2222.

Can I have multiple Preferred Payment Club Card numbers connected to the same checking account?
No. We can only connect one Preferred Payment Club Card number to a single checking account. We can provide duplicate Preferred Payment Club Cards (same rewards number, same checking account). The magnetic stripe on my card is worn and does not work, what can I do?
You will need to replace your payment card if the magnetic stripe does not work. If your card is in Active status (i.e., you have already completed the enrollment and validation process), call Weigel’s Customer Service at (865) 938-2042. Hours of service: M-F, 8AM – 5PM (EST).
