Weigel’s Drives Customer Engagement with New Tablet-Based Loyalty Sign-Ups
Weigel’s is excited to announce the successful implementation of a cutting-edge IT and loyalty project designed to boost customer engagement and streamline sign-ups for the MyWeigel’s Rewards program. By introducing tablets at checkout, Weigel’s has simplified the process for customers to join the rewards program, leading to remarkable results.
The newly deployed tablets prompt customers to register for the MyWeigel’s Rewards program with just a few easy taps. Following their interaction, customers receive a text message to complete their enrollment. This initiative has seen a 40% conversion rate, with customers seamlessly signing up for the loyalty program.
Jessica Starnes, Director of Loyalty at Weigel’s, highlighted the program’s success, saying:
Weigel’s Drives Customer Engagement
“Our goal has always been to provide the best possible experience for our customers while growing our loyalty program. The new tablet sign-up process makes it easier than ever for customers to become part of the MyWeigel’s Rewards family. By offering a convenient and quick way to enroll, we’ve seen immediate growth in engagement, and it’s a great step forward in our long-term loyalty strategy.”
Mike Bee, Director of IT at Weigel’s, praised the technical development of the project, stating:
“We wanted to ensure that the customer experience was as smooth as possible. Overcoming challenges with streamlining the enrollment process was a key focus for us. By introducing these tablets, we’ve simplified the sign-up experience and ensured that it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems. The success we’ve seen in these stores shows how effective this approach can be.”
In stores where the tablets were installed, Weigel’s saw a significant increase in transactions from registered users. This project will now expand to all stores, further strengthening the MyWeigel’s Rewards program. Beyond the immediate growth, this initiative aligns with Weigel’s long-term vision of enhancing customer relationships through personalized offers based on transactional data from registered users.
“At Weigel’s, our focus is on leveraging technology to improve customer satisfaction, drive loyalty, and position ourselves for long-term growth,” added Starnes. “As we continue to roll out these tablets across our entire store network, we expect to see even more engagement and, in the future, deliver personalized offers that will resonate with our customers.”
